I remain uncertain how or why I began this creative journey, there is no dramatic story book light bulb moment to share.
I started off taking pictures of whatever took my fancy. I am advised a good marketing strategy is to specialise in one genre as I would likely sell more and be richer; that maybe true but my soul would be poorer.
I recently entered the digital art arena. I felt a bit of a cheat creating art on a computer, however, good counsel from my many amazing mentors taught me that my thoughts/imaginations are unique to me and can be presented in any format I choose.
My Mum was a creative, I don’t think she realised this, neither did I appreciate this about her.
Mum made a lot of our clothes and soft furnishings, she had a great sense of style; in her octogenarian years she wore platform ankle boots, skinny jeans and puffa jackets. I recall her successfully taking on the project of making a wedding dress for my friend, Mum was fearlessly bad arse.
No lie, I get scared and struggle with self belief.
I have periods of emptiness where my mind is devoid of ideas this would panic me, I now embrace these moments of quietness and calm as they free up my mind to absorb new ideas.
I have learnt that fear can burn or warm you up. I am basking in the warmth by launching this shop comprising of images I fancied creating both digitally and photographically….
